Investment News
Escalating conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran is having significant implications for global markets, with particular attention on the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for around one-fifth of the world's oil supply.
Market movements have so far remained measured. Oil and gold prices have risen, while equities and bonds have held broadly steady. The situation, however, remains fluid, and the question of whether oil could push past $100/barrel depends heavily on how events develop.
Our latest commentary looks carefully at both scenarios and what they may mean for portfolios, as well as why thoughtful diversification remains an important consideration in uncertain times.

We've been shortlisted for the Defaqto MPS Comparator Awards 2026, and our Asset Tracker models are confirmed Highly Commended at minimum, placing them in the top 2% of the entire UK platform MPS universe. Independent recognition. Top 2%. We'll take that.
